George, who is a member of the Club, was the youngest member of the team which climbed Everest in 1953. His ascent of Kangchenjunga was considered one of the hardest climbs, having been attempted and failed on several previous occasions. George is a marvellous speaker, and we are delighted that he has agreed to tell us about his exploits.
